Day 44 Lompoc to Refugio Beach (35 miles)

Heat, Dust, Headwind. I could leave it there for the blog but I would have missed out Hills. If ever I had any thoughts of biking inland after LA then they have evaporated like water spilled on the road to Refugio Beach. The campsite was very good though. It was probably 30ft from the beach. Imagine the cost of that if it was beach front property. The camping fee has gone up the last three times. It's a sign I'm getting close to LA. The next stop will be Carpenteria Beach. Apparently the world's safest beach. I may arrive late though as part of my ride goes through Santa Barbara with it's nice shops, restaurants and ladies. I may have to sample some of them....
